Living with Less, Living More

Mental health hasn’t always looked the way I thought it would. For me, it’s often been a quiet heaviness—something invisible but constant. I’ve lived with both depression and anxiety for years, and somewhere along the way, I began to understand that healing didn’t always mean doing more. Sometimes, it meant doing less.

I used to chase productivity, fill every hour, and measure myself by what I could accomplish. But over time, I started to feel pulled toward something different—something slower, gentler, quieter. That’s when CALINI began to take shape.

CALINI is my way of honoring that shift. A slower pace. Fewer things. Softer fabrics. Simpler choices. I just wanted clothes that didn’t ask too much of me—pieces that felt calm, easy, and kind.

These days, I find peace in small routines. In taking time. In choosing pieces that feel like they belong in a quiet morning or a mindful afternoon. It’s not about having less just to have less. It’s about having space. To breathe. To feel. To rest.

I’m not on the board at MHAS anymore, but I still think of the work they do often. It matters deeply—especially for those whose struggles aren’t always visible. If you’re curious, here’s a link to what they’re doing:

I guess I just wanted to share where I am. What’s been helping. What CALINI really means to me. Not a trend or a brand—but a small part of my healing.

With softness,
